I know i'm biased but England all the way. we've got one of the best teams i've ever seen - ever. plus its been 40 yrs since we last won, its about time and now seems as good a time as any as we may never have a squad like that again.

I know nothing of soccer but I really want to learn how to play. All I know is what I've watched from Bend It Like Beckham! Aren't Germany and England huge rivalries?

Totally huge rivals. if we win we wanna beat germany in the final. Luckily we have a much better team than Germany. The only team that is technically better than England is Brazil, so all the other games just depend on luck. Argentina are a great team too - definantly deserve to make the semi's

I'm for England. I don't know anything about Argentina, but if England ends up getting beat, I'll root for them!

i think that probbably Argentina and England, and maybe Brazil too, are the most "football-crazy", In Argentina the world practically stops during footbal matches, and our president set a law that certain channel should yes or yes transmit Argentina´s matches, and at our school a gigant screen was bought just to watch the matches (i go to school 10 hs a day so all the matches are during calsses), and i´m pulling some strings so as to be able to watch some movies also (ejem...pirates of the caribbean...ejem)

I'm going with Spain. I know I'm the ultimate traitress for voting neither for England nor for Germany, but having watched some matches I'm just the most impressed by the spanish style of playing. One team that gave the impression of real team spirit, to me at least. The most exciting match I've watched so far, was Argentina vs Ivory Coast, especially because I'd expected it to be an easy win for Argentina, which it was, well... not. England and Brazil really disappointed me, and so did Italy and Holland.

Doesn't David Beckham play for Real Madrid? That's in Spain isn't it??

yes he does indeed - but he is captain england.
yesterdays game was bit of a dissappointment - we expected to win with a huge margain over trinidad and tobago. but thank the world for stevie gerrard - if theres one player thats gonna win us the world cup its him. and now Rooney's back all you other teams must live in fear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! except maybe brazil, argertina, spain and germany cos you all still manage to beat us

I watched the Nehterlands and Ivory Coast game today. That was close! I kinda wanted Ivory Coast to win, but they would've gotten beat the next game anyway. One of the their players got the "yellow card" (? I know hardly anything of soccer) twice and he got thrown out of the game and can't play the next one. But USA plays Italy tommorow! If they lose they're out of it, which they probably will, since they suck.

The argentinian player who was injured kind of reminds me of Orlando Bloom... His name is Lucho Gonzalez he has the number 22...Maybe I´m too obsessed ;D... jaja... (pirates fever!!) Take a look and tell me what you think! (is the one who´s carrying the other)

I think he kind of looks like him in the first three, but the last one not that much. My number in basketball is 22!

Congrats! Argentina played really awesome, they're definitely my second favourite To me, this Gonzalez looks like Orlando in the first two, and he looks kinda sexy in his own way in the last two. ;D

Argentina look like a team that deserve to win - sheer class has been displayed as a team. at the end of the day it doesn't matter if england or whoever has a team of world class players, it only matters how well they play as a team

That's exactly how I think, too. I only hope the team that wins the world cup in the end has well deserved it. Argentina, England, Brazil, Spain, Ecuador... doesn't really matter that much.
