So I saw this idea on FanFiction, and thought it was kinda cool, so I did this for my newest story. Basically, it’s like a trailer, except instead of it being for a movie, it’s for a story. I’ll pos the real story in a few days.
Holiday in the Sun Trailer
A setting sun appears, filling the sky with firey oranges, soft pinks, and golden hues.
A shot of two people walking, a man and a women, walking down the beach. The figures are unidentifiable, hidden by shadows.
Man's voice over: "When all is said and done, how do you say goodbye?"
Bird's eye veiw of Keira laying on Orlando's bed, staring at the ceiling.
Keira: "Can you believe it, Orlando? We're finished filming Pirates, forever!"
Camera pans over to Orlando, grinning mishchieviously.
Orlando: "Good because one more day on set with you would have made me gone mad!"
Camera zooms over to Keira, who sits up and tries to stiffle a laugh.
Keira: "I'm being serious Bloom!"
The sound of a ringing phone interuppts them.
"Orlando: "Hello?" Pause. "No mum..."
Orlando's gaze travels and lingers on Keira for a moment or two.
"...no, I'm not dating anyone."
Silence. Screen goes black.
THIS SUMMER
shot of Jerry raising a champenge glass
ariel shot of a cruise ship in the Caribbean
shot of Pirates cast climbing a waterfall
shot of Keira falling of a surfboard
EVERYTHING CHANGES
shot of Keira slamming the door in Orlando's face
shot of Keira sitting on the beach, tears streaming down her face
shot of Keira and Rupert screaming at each other
Camera shows Orlando and Keira in the ocean, staring at each other.
Keira: "Why- why was that kiss different?"
Orlando: "Maybe because it wasn't a Will and Elizabeth kiss, it wasn't pretend, it was real. It was an Orlando and Keira kiss."
THE BEST IS YET TO COME
shot of Johnny and Jack cornering Rupert
shot of Keira and Orlando talking and then a shot of Rupert, eyes raging with jealousy.
shot of Keira in Orlando's arms, their faces inching clser and closer
HOLIDAY IN THE SUN COMING SOON ______________________________

Hey all! I'm glad you liked my trailer thing. Here's the real story. I would have posted it yesterday, but I got my permit ;D and my mom took me driving. I'm horrible, lol. Nearly ran into a pole. Anyways, here you go. Hope you like it!
Title: Holiday in the Sun Author: Lauren Rating: PG-13.Nothing higher. Mostly just for swearing. Disclaimer: I don’t own Pirates, Keira, Orlando, or any other actors/non original characters in this story. But if I did own Orli, I probably wouldn’t be sitting here right now… just kidding.
CHAPTER ONE – PIRATES JUST WANNA HAVE FUN
“Can you believe it, Orlando? We’re done filming Pirates, for-ev-er!” Keira fell back onto Orlando’s bed, knocking over piles of folded clothes in the process.
“Well that’s a relief,” he replied with a mischievous grin on his face. “One more day on set with you was enough to make me go mad!”
“Hey!” Keira sat up and playfully poked him in the ribs. “I’m being serious Bloom!” She tried to stifle a laugh, but it wasn’t working.
“So am I,” he chuckled, moving out of the way so she couldn’t poke him again. Orlando noticed that his phone was ringing, so he dashed over to the dresser and answered it. Orlando picked it up, flipped it open, and put it to his ear in one fluid motion. “Hello?”
“Hi, sweetie!” His mother, Sonia, greeted him in her usual, cheery voice. “Look, I have a question. Are you dating anyone?”
“No, mum,” Orlando sighed. His gaze traveled over to Keira, who was looking in the mirror. His eyes lingered on her, almost longingly, before he tore them away. “No. I’m not dating anyone.”
“Well, ok then,” Sonia said, not believing him. “How are you doing?”
Orlando jumped up onto a chair in his room, trying to get out of Keira’s reach. She had turned away from the mirror and started moving towards Orlando, hoping to get him back. Lucky for him, she hadn’t caught him staring at her. “I’m good. My ribs hurt,” Orlando made a face at Keira, who had started laughing, before going on. “But other than that I’m fine.”
“Orlando,” his mother sighed. “What ridiculous stunt have you done now to hurt your ribs… again?”
“What? No, no, no! I haven’t done anything. I was… never mind. It’s nothing.”
“Ok…” his mother replied, her tone of voice a little wary. “Anyways, how are things going with you and Penelope?” She hoped that a direct approach to the subject might give her the answer she was looking for.
“What?!” Orlando jumped off the couch, eyes wide with shock. “Me and who?”
“Penelope, your girlfriend.”
“No, mum. No. I don’t have a girlfriend. I’ve been single for a while now. I just told you that. I’m not dating anyone.”
“What’s going on?” Keira hissed, eager to know what made Orlando freak out so badly. Orlando held up a finger, wanting her to be quiet. “Shut it!” he mouthed. “Continue,” he told his mother.
“I know that I should believe you, but when you and Kate got back together last year, you never said anything about it until I had to ask you, but you still didn’t tell me the first time I asked. I have every right not to believe you. Besides, this you and Penelope thing is all over the-”
“Have you been reading tabloids again, mum?”
“No!” She paused. “Well… maybe. Ok, yes!”
Orlando expelled a long sigh. “Mum, how many times have I told you no-”
“Well excuse me for wanting to know what’s going on in my son’s life! It’s been all over the Internet and newsstands for weeks and I was bound to think it would be true!” Sonia had raised her voice, causing Orlando to wince slightly and hold the phone away from his ear.
“I’m sorry mum. We’re not dating, ok?” He glanced over at Keira, who had fallen face first onto his bed, destroying even more piles of clothes. He rolled his eyes at her, frustrated, and continued. “Look, I gotta go. Keira’s here and-”
“Keira’s there? Is Johnny with you? Do tell him I said hi. He is such a sweet man and a wonderful actor. Oh-”
“Mum! Mum! Remember when I told you how much I hate it when fans go all crazy over me?”
“Yes…”
“Johnny doesn’t like it either. But I got to go. Bye!” Orlando quickly snapped the phone shut and tossed it onto an armchair that was in his suite. He knew that his mom would be upset at him ending their conversation so abruptly, but she was getting on his nerves.
“What’s wrong, love?” Orlando walked over to his bed and plopped down next to Keira. “You seem upset.”
“Oh, I don’t know.” Keira’s voice was muffled since she was lying face down, so it came out sounding like, “I unt oh.”
“What did you say?” Orlando turned and laid on his side, propping his head up with an arm.
“I said I don’t know what’s wrong. I just think I need a break from all this.” Keira turned over and mimicked Orlando’s position. “A vacation would definitely be nice.” He sighed, daydreaming about lying in the sun at a private, peaceful beach or surfing the perfect wave.
“I think I just want to get away from the press. They are getting out of control! A few weeks ago when I was in London on break with Rupert the paparazzi hounded us!”
Orlando’s muscles tensed at the mention of Rupert. He had known him since late 2005 and they had yet to get along. The two men were always civil two each other in Keira’s presence of course, but Orlando knew how nasty her boyfriend could really be. Even though Rupert would never admit to it, he had always been jealous of Orlando and Keira’s friendship. Because of this, Rupert made a point of getting Keira away from him whenever he visited the set. So whenever Rupert came around, Orlando knew that time with one of his best friends would be very limited. It was just-
“Orlando?” Keira snapped twice in his face, trying to catch his attention. “Orli! Stop zing out when I speak to you!”
He jumped at the sound of her voice. “What?” He looked up at her and saw Keira raising an eyebrow and giving him a quizzical look. “I was just… thinking.”
“Ok, whatever. I need to go anyways. The wrap party is tonight and I have to find something to wear before I go pick up Rupert.” Keira got off the bed and began making her way towards the door. However, Orlando arrived there first and blocked it so she couldn’t leave.
“Oh no! No way, Keira. You’re not leaving until you re-fold everything that you destroyed!” Orlando motioned to his bed, where heaps of clothes laid.
“No,” she laughed. “I offered to help you last night but you didn’t want it. You’ve packed a suitcase by yourself before and I’m sure you’re able to do it again.”
Orlando moved away from the door. “But Keira!”
“Bye Orli. I’ll see you later tonight.” ____________________________________
The lounge at the Chateau Marmot Hotel in Los Angeles had been rented out for the At World’s End wrap party. Since Pirates 3 was going to be the last of the series, Jerry had gone all out and made sure that the night was spectacular. Pictures from all three movies were hung throughout the room and. Promotional poster from the last movie had been framed and sat on the right side of the lounge. A DJ had been hired to play the cast and crew’s favorite songs, and one of the best catering companies was serving them.
The party had started a little more than an hour ago, and by the looks of things, it would be going on until early morning. Orlando, Johnny, and Jack were sitting at a small table near the door, joking and laughing together. Orlando was just passing time until Keira arrived. His plan was to catch her and engross her into a deep conversation or something before Rupert whisked her away into a corner with him all night, like he usually did. This is why Orlando was sitting by the door. It would be easier to get Keira.
“So Orlando, word it that you’re dating Penelope Cruz.” Jack Davenport held an imaginary under his mouth. “Is this true?”
“Excuse me?” Orlando pushed his hand out of the way. “Why is everyone asking?”
“So it is true!” Jack concluded.
“No, it’s not true. I’m sorry, but the woman looks like a weird little bird or something.” Orlando shuddered at the thought.
“Jack, Jack, Jack. Don’t you know that Orlando won’t date anyone unless she’s a famous actress named Keira Knightley?” Johnny looked at Orlando, who was shaking his head in annoyance, before turning to Jack. “Didn’t he-”
“Hey guys!” All three men turned around at the sound of Keira’s voice. She had just arrived with Rupert, his hand intertwined with hers. “Sorry I’m late. I couldn’t find anything to wear.”
“Doesn’t she look great though?” Rupert loved to show Keira off when she got all dressed up. From Orlando’s point of view, Keira seemed like a prize or trophy to Rupert, not a person. This was one of the things he hated most about their dating.
“You look amazing.” Orlando gave her a small smile. He meant what he said. Keira’s hair was still the Elizabeth Swann golden blonde, extensions and all. She was clad in a light gold, above the knee dress with thick straps and a bow around the middle. Her neck was adorned with a sapphire-and-diamond necklace and a gemstone ring was on her finger.
“Thanks,” Keira blushed. “Um, well, we’re going to go say hello to Gore and Jerry. I guess I’ll talk to you lot later.” The couple began making their way through the crowd as Orlando stood up and grabbed Keira’s slim wrist. He wouldn’t let Rupert hog her all night. He sat her down at her table. “Don’t you want to spend any time with me now?” He gave her the big puppy dog eyes that were also so hard to resist.
Keira giggled. “Don’t worry, Or. I’ll spend time with you later.”
“But Keira! Please?”
“Later. I promise.” She turned around and saw Rupert glaring at them. “I gotta go. Rupert’s going to come over and yell at me soon if I don’t leave. And I’m not in the mood to be on the cover of Star tomorrow if the media found out.”
“Why do you let him treat you like that?” Orlando asked.
“Like what?”
“Oh, never mind. I’ll just talk to you later tonight then?”
“Yes.” Keira got up as Rupert got closer. “Bye!”
Orlando watched as Keria walked over to her boyfriend and led him in a different direction. Rupert draped an arm around her shoulders and when Keira wasn’t paying attention, he turned around and smirked at Orlando. He always did this when she chose to spend time with him instead of Orlando. Turning back to Johnny and Jack, Orlando asked, “Do you really think there is any chance of Keira keeping that promise while the… thing is here?”
“Nope,” Johnny answered.
“Not a chance,” Jack replied.
“That’s what I thought too,” Orlando said in a quiet voice, frowning. It wasn’t fair.
48 Minuets later….
“If I could have everyone’s attention, please.” Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer of Pirates, took the microphone that the DJ had been using and stepped up onto the small stage. “Sal, could you turn the music down for a few moments? Thanks.” Sal the DJ smiled and complied, stopping the current song, which was “The Great Escape” by Boys like Girls.
Orlando turned around in his seat to face Jerry on the stage. When he turned however, he cause sight of Keira tangled in Rupert’s arms, slowly pulling away from a kiss. Orlando didn’t know why, but seeing them like that made him feel jealous. He wasn’t sure if he was feeling slight jealously, but he didn’t like it.
“Guys, please! This will only take a few minuets..” Jerry’s voice flooded back into the room. “Keira, Rupert. Could you please restrain yourselves from each other for a moment or two?”
Keira moved out of Rupert’s arms and smiled shyly. “Thank-you,” Jerry said. “Now, if I could have anybody from the main cast that’s here up on stage now, please.”
Johnny, Jack, Geoffrey, Mackenzie, Lee, Orlando, and Keira all got up from their seats and joined Jerry. The only two people missing were Naomi and Kevin. Kevin was in Thailand filming a new movie and Naomi was on a honeymoon in Fiji. “These seven amazing people up on stage with me now have been with Gore and I since the beginning, back in 2002. They stayed with us and put up with us, even when they didn’t want to…”
As Jerry continued on with his speech, Orlando nudged Keira, who was standing next to him. “You know Keir, you haven’t kept your promise yet,” he whispered.
Trying her hardest not to be rude, Keira turned her head slightly to the side to face him, and responded. “The night’s not over yet, Bloom. Besides, Rupert told me that he’s leaving after Jerry’s speech.”
Orlando’s smile widened. “Wonderful. So I’ll actually get to spend time with you tonight?” he asked quietly.
“Yes. Now shush. I’m trying to listen.”
The two gave Jerry their full attention again and listened to the last part of the speech. “I would like to propose a toast, if that would be alright.” Jerry turned and reached for his champagne glass.
“If you would all please join me in toasting these six outstanding actors and one flawless actress. They have all made Pirates such a joy to work on, and I wish them the best of luck in all that they do!”
The room raised their glasses and drank to the main cast. When they were finished, Jerry continued. “To thank them, Disney is presenting them with an all-expenses paid, two week cruise vacation in the Caribbean!”
The room began clapping as Keira’s eyes went wide with shock. She turned to Orlando and grabbed his arm in excitement. “Can you believe it, Orlando? A cruise! I’ve never been on a cruise before! But the timing is prefect. I was just saying today how badly I needed a vacation. It’s perfect!”
Before Orlando answered, he saw Rupert leave the secluded area he spent the entire night in and made his way to the door. From Orlando’s perspective, it was all too good to be true. He turned to face her and unconsciously placed his hand over Keira’s, which was still on his upper arm. “Ya Keira, it’s great. Absolutely perfect.” ___________________________
(A/N) I know it's not the most exciting chapter, but I kinda wanted to introduce Orlando's/Keira's/Rupert's relationship. More to come soon!
