^ Haha! I loved that post! Update it whenever you're ready. I could never write a story because I'd get writer's block. (?) I wouldn't be able to think. Oh dear, God what am I trying to say? Is it writers block? That's what it sounds like in my head. Jeez, now you probably think I talk to myself!

Chapter Four
“Nothing like a night in Tortuga to take your mind off things, eh?” Will laughed as they made their way back to the ship.
“I know exactly what you mean mate!” Ragetti said, loosing his balance.
“Feels great to let your worries free for a while.” Gibbs added, helping Ragetti up from the ground. Will, Gibbs, Barbossa, and the rest of the crew arrived at the Black Pearl, and they all climbed aboard. Everything was quiet. A faint crash of waves slapping against rocks could be heard in the distance. The boat was completely empty. Once the whole crew was on board, Gibbs looked around. Something was missing, something didn’t feel right. Five minutes passed in silence until Pintel noticed to too.
“Where’s ‘Lizbeth? He asked, breaking the quiet. “Is she still back there?” Pintel turned his head around, looking back at the place they were just at.
“No, I don’t think so. She told me that she didn’t want to come.” Gibbs replied. He was starting to get worried.
“Elizabeth!” Will yelled out. There wasn’t any answer. He tried again. “Elizabeth!” She didn’t call back. She didn’t come up from below deck. Nothing.
“Ok everyone! Search this ship stern to starboard! Elizabeth has got to be here somewhere!” Gibbs commanded. All the pirates started perusing the ship. Even Barbossa was helping out. But Will was motionless. He already knew that she wasn’t going to be on the boat. He could feel it. His mind was racing. Where is she? But when Gibbs, and the rest of the crew finished looking, the unthinkable happened. They hadn’t found Elizabeth, but they did bring back a note.
“What’s that?” Will questioned, noticing the cream-colored parchment.
“It’s a note!” Ragetti exclaimed, holding it out for him. “We think it’s from other pirates, but I didn’t think we knew how to write.”
“You don’t.” Will snatched the paper out of his hands. “Besides, it’s in Elizabeth’s handwriting.”
“Read it!” Barbossa urged. It was the first thing he had said since returning to the Black Pearl.
“Yes! Yes!” Some of the other pirates agreed with him, eager to know Elizabeth’s location.
“I am! It’s says: Crew and Will,
I don’t have much time to write this, but Davy Jones wants you to find him. His henchmen said something about Jack, hearts and a compass. Until you give him what he wants, Jones is holding me hostage.”
Will’s entire body froze. His heart stopped. He dropped the note without even finishing it. The last sentence was all he needed to know. He walked a few steps away, not believing the unimaginable was happening. How could Elizabeth just disappear? This wasn’t happening.
“Hey Will! You didn’t finish reading it. What does ‘I lo’ mean?” Twigg asked, picking up the piece of fallen paper.
“She meant I love. Elizabeth just didn’t have time to finish writing. But, I’m gonna got below deck for a while. I need to be alone. So don’t follow me.” He said quietly.
“Aye.” Gibbs answered in a voice that was not his own. He watched Will walk over to the door leading below. Something had changed about him since reading Elizabeth’s ransom note.
Once will was alone below deck, he laid down in his hammock-bed. Looking to the right of him, he noticed that was where Elizabeth had slept. He couldn’t believe that she was gone. One moment she was safely on the Black Pearl, and the next she was lost on the Flying Dutchman, stuck in the middle of the sea. “Why was I so horrible to her? Why didn’t I say ‘I love you’? Why didn’t I hold her when she wanted to be held and be with her when she wanted it? Why didn’t I just apologize?” What if I never get another chance? With that thought, Will’s eyes started to water. Realizing that he might never get to see his fiancé again, a single tear trailed down the side of his cheek. ~*~ Two sea-barnacle encrusted creatures shoved Elizabeth Swann into a jail cell below deck of the Flying Dutchman. Puddles of filthy, murky water covered the wooded floorboards. The beings locked the cell and hung the rusty keys across the room from her.
“Stay here! One the creatures commanded, “The boss will see you tomorrow.”
“What do you want from me?” Elizabeth asked. “Let me out!” She pleaded.
The other henchmen banged his hand against the old, metal jail cell door. It was his method of demanding silence. “He said he would talk to you tomorrow!” The two creatures then stomped up the creaky stairs, leaving Elizabeth deserted on the vacant floor. ~*~ “Will?” Gibbs whispered into the darkness. He didn’t know of this was the right time to talk, but it needed to be done.
“Huh? Uh, ‘Lisbeth, did you come back?” He answered groggily, waking up from a fitful sleep.
“No! It’s Gibbs. Come up here, follow me!”
“O-kay..” Will got up, and crept up the stairs, trying not to wake anyone. Once he was up from below, a cold wind greeted him. It was sprinkling lightly; there would definitely be storms tomorrow.
“This might not be the best time, but are you doing ok? After reading the paper, you seemed to have changed a bit.” Gibbs asked in a concerned manor. He was genuinely worried about him.
“This is all my fault.” Will whispered, his eyes started to flood with tears.
“Now don’t go blaming-”
“But it is! If I hadn’t gotten angry at her, she would have come to Tortuga with us, and she would have been safe. I’m the reason she didn’t want to come. If we only weren’t fighting, she would still be here.” He walked over to the edge of the ship and stared out at the gray-blue water. Looking at the horizon, she wished that the Flying Dutchman would come out from under the water. All he wanted was to save her, to hold her, and to forgive her.
“Will, do you, do you still love her?” Gibbs asked, joining him at his side, looking out to the sea.
“More than you would ever know.” he whispered. And for the second time that night, a tear fell from his face. ______________
