Hey guys,
We are busy with life, we are bored with the mundane, and the novelty of "Orlando/Keira" fascination has worn off. What better time to re-ignite our writing passion as it compares to our aspiration with the lovely couple than the holiday seasons. Tis' the season of commercialism and spending after all. So lets spend our thoughts into a drabble or a short fiction or even a poem.
Rules of Engagement:
- As per the title, you are to find "The Muse" and create a challenge. Your muse can be anything including Christmas with Orlando and Keira, Hannukah with the Priates of the Caribbean, etc. You can give "challenge words," "challenge phrases," and even a certain theme for your challenge. Sky's the limit.
- The first person that picks you up on that challenge is to post a message on this thread stating that they will be accepting your challenge.
- Once they write the "challenge fiction and/or poem" they are to post it on this board "Truely Inspired." They are to also create another challenge for the next person.
- Goes without saying that it has to be a writing challenge about Orlando/Keira or William/Elizabeth.
- Every well written fiction created in this contest will be placed in the "hall of fame" and the author will receive a small prize for having braved it.
Simple enough? Let the muse Gods be pleased!
As an example (and to earn a right to create the first challenge) here is a little Will/Elizabeth drabble relating to the POTC dialogues called "Don't Stop"
He preserved my sight measuredly. Acquainting my form with thorough eyes.
"Will!" came an exclamation, "Its so good to see you. I had a dream about you last night."
Grazing every inch with his roughened blacksmith hands. He nodded to himself as if in an acknowledgment. Having seen a potential I myself hadn't known I possessed.
"You said you gave Barbossa my name instead of yours," he raised his head to hold the sight with incredulity, "Why?"
Aflame torridly in his view. The crimson ambers enveloped my form lapping up in eager exile.
"But we've got to save Will!"
A slow pain counterpoint to the burn that had accessed the untapped zeal shone in my readiness.
"Your fiance would be wanting to know you are safe..."
Again and again I was ladened with a known burden. Shaping me into something I was supposed to be. Something I knew not myself. Or did I?
"Elizbeth, I should've told you everyday from the moment I met you," he weighed in anticipatory breathlessness, "I love you."
The cooling liquid quenched with vehmence a needy heat that had persisted all along.
"This is a beautiful sword. I would expect the man who made it to show the same care and devotion in every aspect of his life."
Will admired his newly finished sword with a smile accosting his lips.
"Don't stop..."
