I saw the film for the second time last night andri especiallly looked out for things related to the ending and it is indeed very confusing for example bootstrap says that if will would choose him he would sail the seas doomed forever and when jack has those wee mini jacks on his shoulder they are telling him he could sail the seas free for eternity... now this is very confusing, i suppose it could just be their interpretation of the curse but it doesnt exactly make things any easier

Well, Will would be doomed because he could only see Elizabeth once every 10 years. Jack just wants to stay alive and be free. He's afraid to go back to Davey Jone's locker, so being the captain of the Flying Dutchman is a good alternative for him. I doubt that Jack would ferry the dead souls though. He gets a bit carried away. Hehe

i know that but it doesnt exactly make the end scene any easier to understand because the audience gets the impression that he will be captain forever throughout the movie

True. Very true. I have no idea! Haha! Go figure, but I still love this movie even though it's a bit confusing.

^ I agree... I take this movie as entertainment and not something incredibly deep. Come on... they're summer blockbusters and that's all they're gonna be. It was successful because of marketing and celebrity. That's what I think of it. The O/K is just a treat on the side.

Here here! *lifts up champaigne glass that magicly appeared out of nowhere* My theater teacher loved the first and second ones but she said she didn't like this one. She went on one of her big rants and you can not I repeat can NOT interupt her when she goes on one. She said lots of interesting things...
