Well, since it so quiet around here, I guess everyone is at summer vacay or somethin'. well, whenever you come back, why don't you write a little about what you have done and where you have been. If you haven't been anywhere or done anything yet (like me ) then write about your summerplans. Where are you going, or where would you like to go? As for me, I haven't got any specific plans at the moment, but I think my brother and his girlfriend are gonna drag me somewhere, probably Madrid. If anyone's been there, tell me about it; What should I go and see, what restaraunt/cafè should I eat at and so on. Well, that's enough blabbering from me for now.

^I've heard that Madrid is really nice... I wanted to go there while I was in Barcelona, but didn't have time. The famous Guernica by Picasso is there, so I definitely would see that if you haven't yet.
Hello!!
I've definitely been one of those people that have been away for quite some time. I got back into the States about one week ago from Europe. I was in Europe for 10 months studying and now I'm back at home..... yay. The good thing about home, is that the air and streets are clean, the down side is that gas prices are ridic, it's super hot, and basically California is on fire. Dang.
I was trying to get a summer job here, but so far, it's hopeless. Economy is really bad and I'm competing against a lot of high school kids that stay year-round, as opposed to me, who is leaving in September for school. So right now, I'm just trying to catch up with the parentals (I've never been this far away from home for this long) and hopefully get my nice and pretty Mac tower to work with new computer programs, to prep for this coming fall's thesis project :terror:
I spent the last couple weeks playing tour guide for my family. My mom got to Florence (where I went to school) in May and I took her to Barcelona (fabulous place, I must say), Cinque Terre, and Venice. Then, my dad and brother got into Rome and I took them around there. Got back to Florence for more touristy things, then took a train ride to Nice, France and then did a road trip to several cities in France to finally get to Paris. Finally got to see Monet's house in Giverny and ride a bike in the Versailles gardens... it was pretty magical, I must say. Climbed the Eiffel Tower and ate frog legs for my birthday. It was awesome.
I think I've blabbed enough.

Guernica by Picasso, noted. However, don't think I'll be going this year Oh well, Madrid isn't going anywhere is it? Wow, what a traveller you are. Sounds amazing, I hope I can do the same thing one day. Where are you going for school? Back to Florence? What did you study there by the way? Well, enough third degree questioning from me

Yeah... it's alright if you don't go this year... there are other years ahead.... Well, this past year has been an exception on the travel front. I've never really been out of the States (with the exception of China for two weeks, 4 years ago). I studied abroad in Florence for my fourth year in college, studying architecture. I hope it wasn't a step backward in terms of my learning, but seeing new countries was definitely worth the time to go over. I'm going back to school here in California, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I miss that little town so much right now... all my friends that I haven't seen for 1.5 years... wow. I have one more year till I graduate, so it's a little bittersweet, this next year.
