(I dunno why I upedated this but hey....incase anyone wants to read something that isn't Orlando/Keira..unlikely. then this might be for you.)
I recently watched the movie “The Crow” (Brandon Lee’s last film) and I have to say it is the most beautifully written love story I have ever come across. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the story of The Crow. It’s about a young musician named Eric Draven and his Fiancé Shelly Webster, who were murdered in cold blood inside their apartment by 4 thugs. A year later after their murder Eric has been resurrected by the “crow” to make sure that the people who murdered him and shelly Pay for their crimes. In my personal opinion I think it’s the most beautiful story I have ever seen. I was nearly in tears while I was watching this movie and I encourage anyone else to see this Movie. Well after seeing it I wanted to write my own version of this.
Once again if you are offended by f/f parings, do not read.
Prologue: Death of two lovers.
The scene was an absolute blur. Police sirens were whirling about while news vans were scurrying around trying to get the best position to broadcast the horrid news that was on the scene. A murder at a LA Hollywood house was already flooding the news around the world as people were turning on their television sets.
Office Kate Langily was already on the scene surveying the murder spots. She took a drag of her cigarette while she looked at the body on the floor that was covered in blood. The body was that of a young woman who looks to be about 19 years of age. Her long brow hair draped over her face was soaked in her own blood as she laid their motionless.
“What a waste.” Kate said to no one in particular, “What a sad waste.” Kate repeated to her self again as she pulled a few strands of blonde hair away from her face.
A middle aged man walked up the stairs and looked around in disgust. He was wearing a regular suit and his badge hung loosely off his over coat.
“Holy Jesus. What the ^beep^ happened here?” He disclaimed as he joined Kate after he trampled over the set of stairs he was watching.
“Where having a costume party Smith. What the ^beep^ do you think happened? It’s a Murder.”
The older man mocked a shocked look as he backed away sarcastically “Well gee aren’t you the snippy one today.”
“Snippy? People are dead here Smith ok? In case you haven’t noticed where cops. And one of our job descriptions is to protect and serve. You would notice that if you weren’t to busy sitting at your desk wolfing down Krispy Kreeme donuts all day.” She replied harshly as she looked out the window of the living room that the scene took place in.
“God the media is going to have a field day about this. Two lesbian Hollywood lovers murdered in cold blood. It’s like mixing oil and water.”
Smith grunted as he walked over to the other room to see what the forensics team dug up. “Always trying to be the super cop Kate, just like your old man.”
Kate decided to ignore the older gentleman’s comment as she continued to stare outside the window. It was such a shame that two young ladies were murdered due to this injustice. To young ladies who had their lives cut short because of some band of freaks decided that it was time.
She went back to where the body laid and kneeled towards it. She noticed that its eyes were still open.
“I’ll find them Keira.” She said silently as she placed her fingers over Keira’s dead eye lids and gently closed them.
“You’re death won’t be in vain Miss Knightley” She then gently took the blanket that was next to Keira’s body and covered it from head to toe.
“Detective Langily we got a live one here!” One of the MDs. Yelled from across the room. Kate looked up and walked quickly across the room where the MD was. When she reached the room she was standing over a young girl with her shirt torn up and cuts all over her body, her entire body was caked in blood from head to toe as she gasped air into the respirator that was attached to her mouth.
“Her name is Natalie Hershlag AKA Natalie Portman.. 23 years old, Caucasian female, about 5 foot 3 inches.” The medical assistant read as he was trying to pump oxygen into Natalie’s lungs.
“For ^beep^’s sake some one get her out of here and to a hospital!” Kate exclaimed as the meds hurried and packed Natalie onto a gurney.
“Keira…..” Kate heard the young wounded actress on the floor. She looked down at her.
“Where’s….Keira?” Natalie asked her breath almost giving out.
“Keira’s…she’s…..she’s on her way.” Kate lied, not having the heart to tell Natalie the truth.
“Tell….her. That…I love her..” Natalie said between gasps. Trying to hold on as best she can.
“No…you’re going to tell her yourself. Your going to be ok you hear me?” Kate said with sureness in her voice. Natalie just nodded gently not really hearing what Kate had to say.
The meds rolled Natalie outside to the Hospital van outside trying their best to pump life back into the young woman. Kate just stood out there feeling numb inside her body. For years she has been trying to protect and serve the City of LA from drug dealers, crooked cops and anything else this wicked city at to throw at her. This is however the fist time she felt as if she failed two people.
Smith the grunt middle age detective walked up behind Kate as he dragged his cigarette.
“You lied to her Kate.” He said smugly. She didn’t even make eye contact with him.
“The girl is already dying smith. She might not even make it through the night. You want to tell her that her girlfriend has been shot in the chest, stabbed in the stomach and beaten to death?”
Smith shook his head and laughed harshly at the young detective’s comment.
“You’re just Lucky that she is almost dead, otherwise you would be the one that had to break the news to her.”
Kate just scoffed at the fat man’s comment and walked off in the opposite direction. “Go to hell you fat ^beep^.” She said under hear breath as she walked off away from the middle aged man fatso.
The world lost an important person that day. A person that has brought smiles to the faces of movie buffs across the world. The world lost the renowned actress Keira Knightley.
