Disclaimer: I don’t own Keira or Orlando.
AN: Hey all, I know I know, I bet you are all wondering why in the heck do I find the time to write 4 fics in less than a week? Simple, I am known for my procrastination. I usually write when I have more important things to do…I know, bad me. Oh well, what can a girl say, I’m addicted. It’s like once you pop you just can’t stop…
I’m trying something knew, something called First Person Point of View or commonly known as POV…I’ve never done this before and thought it would be interesting. Tell me what you all think please. Anyway Enjoy, I’ve yakked enough.
3 A.M.
(Keira’s POV)
I stood outside on my balcony that was connected to my apartment bedroom completely stark of clothing. Luckily for me, it was 3 am in this scorching heat lamp we Brits call London, England. Why was I nude and standing outside where the world could see me in all my glory? During the night, the air conditioner went out and there wasn’t a damn thing I could do about it. Good for nothing piece of-
I stopped my train of thought when I heard pounding at my door. Surprised, I quickly gathered my robe off the silk clad bed sheets and put it on. I was irritated. Just as I felt a breeze coming, somebody had to knock on my door and ruin it.
I unlocked the bottom lock and open the door, ready to bite the infuriating person’s head off. When I saw who it was, my jaw hit the floor. The person I saw standing there was defiantly not who I had pictured to be here.
“Orlando? What on earth are you doing here?” I question, vaguely away of the closeness between me and my best friend of 23 years.
“Courtney and I broke up, mind if I stay with you?”
I know it was wrong of me to be excited to hear that he and the bitch had a row, but I had been in love with ‘Lando since I was in high school. Not that he knew about it…
“I don’t think you want to be staying here, the air conditioner is out.” I told him. I would have loved him to stay, but it wasn’t fair for him to have to suffer with me. With my luck he’ll turn around and go back to the cow’s open arm’s ready to apologize for something that was probably her fault to begin with.
To my surprise, Orlando shrugged his shoulders and simply walked in, shedding his white dress shirt in the process, leaving him in nothing but a sexy wife beater that clung to his muscles like a second skin and a pair of snuggly waist fitting black slacks.
“Ok, ‘Lando, what happened,” I asked shocked. “It must have been bad if you are willing to stay in this miserable place.”
Orlando wiggled his eyes suggestively, “Misery loves company.”
I laughed, “What happened between you and Courtney this time?” My voice going back to automatic sympathy mode, all feelings aside Orlando needed a friend, not some horny twenty-some-odd year old wanting to lick the sweat that had gathered in the short amount of time he had been here and was now trailing down the smooth contours of his cheek.
Shaking my head, I willed the visions of Orlando in a messy heap of tangled sheets naked on my bed just in the other room.
“Courtney and I went out to dinner. It was our six month anniversary and I wanted tonight to be special. Then in the middle of the meal, she accused me of being unfaithful. How the hell can I be unfaithful to her if I’ve haven’t done anything with any other woman since I have been with her?”
“What did she say ‘Lando?” I asked. This didn’t surprise me.
“She said that I may not have been unfaithful to her physically, but she said that I have been emotionally.”
“Uhh?”
Orlando took her hand in his. This part did surprise her. He had held her hand many times throughout the years, but there was something different about this time.
“She told me something that I have known for so long Keira. I was just too stupid to see it.”
I cocked my head to the side; I wish he would cut to the chase. My head was beginning to swim.
“There has been something missing in my life, something that Courtney, or any other woman for that matter, couldn’t give me.” He lowered his voice, as if a mystical enchantment had been cast over us and the spell would be broken if interrupted. “That something is you.”
Was I dreaming or was he confessing his undying love for me? How cliché was that? But I didn’t care. I’ve been waiting to hear him say those three words that could move mountains for so long. And I’m still waiting…
“What are you saying Orlando?”
Running a nervous hand threw his brown curly locks that I loved so much. Orlando walked me over to the balcony.
“I’m saying that I can’t live without you, I’ve never been able to. That’s why I’ve never left London.
“Oh.” I sighed dejectedly, facing the moon, trying to conceal the tears that threatened to escape. He can’t live without me, but he doesn’t love me.
I felt his lips on my bare shoulder. Sometime during the last few minutes, the robe slid down. I had forgotten that I was naked. But none of that mattered at the moment. The only thought that ran through my mind was how soft his lips felt against my bare skin. His tongue tracing the nook between my neck and shoulder, instantly cooling down my over heated body.
Orlando trailed light, barely there, butterfly kisses up the length of my slender neck and dragged them across my cheek. My eyes fluttered open and shut repeatedly. I whimpered as I felt his addictive lips leave my skin, but was soon quieted by the huskiness in his voice as he whispered in my ear.
“I love you Keira, I always have, and I always will. Tell me that you love me too.”
I opened my eyes; he had said those three magical words. The three words that I had been longing to hear for ages; three words I thought I would never hear pass his lips.
“Say it again.” I demanded gently.
I could feel his smile, don’t ask how, but after being around him since I was a babe, one tends to know the other inside out.
He spun me around till I met his beautiful brown eyes. He placed his hands on my petite waist and leaned forward.
“I…” he placed a chaste kiss upon my quivering lips. “Love” I was awarded another one. “You.” This time, Orlando didn’t just kiss and pull back. He dove in and rendered me helpless against his strong body. I was a captive to his seductive acts.
I moaned slightly, my senses were awakening. The littlest things were setting me off; a brush here, a brush there. “’Lando...”
I felt his hands leave my waist and wonder aimlessly over my shaking body. I’ve never felt such sensations before. I was no armature to the act of sex, but never in my life has one man made me feel the way that I felt at this moment.
