Drabble

The rain patted against the hotel window in heavy torrents as Keira tossed uncomfortably in the silken blankets. A crash of thunder sounded as the room was illuminated with the glow of lightning. Shutting her eyes tight and burying her head into the warmth of the covers, she tried to block out all sound and fall into the comfort of sleep.
Another rumble echoed throughout the skies, causing her to jump.
Sitting up, she laughed at herself for her own stupidity. 'Afraid of a little thunder, eh?' Tucking her hair behind her ear instinctively, Keira reached for the alarm clock with her free hand to check the time.
2:30
Shooting started at seven tomorrow and she didn't want to be exhausted throughout the whole day.She remembered* how pissed Jerry had been when she had completely forgotten to write down the small bit of notes he had wanted her to add to her script. Now all she had to do is show up with enormous bags under her eyes and she'd be walking with her tail between her legs for days.
Keira groaned in frustration and fell back onto the feather soft pillows, once again trying to let sleep take her.
A couple of minutes had passed and she had almost succeeded into drifting into some state of subconsiousness, when she heard the door to her room open with a creak. Squinting her eyes open a bit, she recognized the lithe form of her adorable co-star, Orlando.
He quietly crawled under the blankets with her and pulled her body close to his, resting his head on her shoulder. The scent of his soft curls was nealry intoxicating as she smiled at his childish antics and gently ran her fingers over his face.
"What's wrong, Lando, babe?"
His voice was muffled as he buried his head further into the crook of her neck.
"I had a nightmare."
Keira giggled and took his hand in hers, and slowly brought it to her lips, placing the lightest of kisses upon his finger tips.
"All better?"
Orlando's face emerged from his hiding space beneath her shoulder. Locking eyes with her, he smiled a bit and said rather cheekily, "Not quite."
With a twinkle in her eye, she leaned closer and kissed him full on the lips.
"What about now?"
