Hey everyone! I came across this article online the other day and decided to make a spin off from it. It's not mushy Keira/Orlando but it is about their true friendship. Anyway, the first article is real, but the second article isn't! (Don't want to get anyone's hopes up). Hope ya'll enjoy it!
Disclaimer - I do not own Orlando or Keira. If I did, then we wouldn't have to worry about distractions such as Jamie, Rupert or Kate
Title: Time For The End
Keira Knightley Too Busy for Fiance Rupert Friend?
fametastic.co.uk/archive/20061127/3501/keira-knightley-too-busy-for-fiance-rupert-friend/
Despite engagement rumours, it looks like Keira Knightley might have gone from being an “awful girlfriend” to be an awful fiancee because she’s so busy with her career - and her co-stars.
A source close to the couple told the Mirror: “Keira’s a really loving girlfriend but she’s so insanely busy with work it’s untrue.”
“She’s done everything in her power to make Rupert feel important but he still complains that he doesn’t get enough attention, and it’s causing real friction.”
According to the newspaper, Rupert also had a run in with Keira’s friend and Pirates of the Caribbean co-star Orlando Bloom: [Rupert] went out with the Pirates cast to the Les Deux restaurant in LA and although it started out as a really nice evening he ended up rowing with Orlando.”
“Orlando was calling Keira by her surname which Rupert didn’t like. Then Orlando wanted the party to go on somewhere else, while Rupert was happy to stay put.”
“It all seemed really petty but it annoyed Keira as she doesn’t like her personal life spilling over into her work. She’s very professional and won’t let anything or anyone mess that up.”
“She loves him but they’ve had some intense talks about where it’s going. She knows that work has to be her priority: it’s up to Rupert to decide whether he can deal with that - if not their days as a couple look numbered.” [/i]
Keira sighed, tossing the magazine into the sand. Half the article was under the sand now, but two pictures stuck out. One of her and Rupert and one of her and Orlando.
'Rubbish, simply rubbish' She thought.
Except it wasn’t.
Or maybe it was. The problem was that she didn’t know what was rubbish, the article or the current state of her relationship with Rupert.
Staring out at the sea, she felt like she was repeating history again. The same thing happened with Jamie and now it was happening with Rupert. Jamie couldn’t handle Keira and her career and in the end it is what tore them apart.
Keira thought back to her parents. They were both successful people in the entertainment field. They never let their career in the way of their relationship. She always promised herself that she wouldn’t be one of those people that let their career in the way of her relationship. Too bad she was headed down the road again.
She loved Rupert, she really did. Despite what everything seemed like, Rupert was a good boyfriend. Yes, he was possessive, but that is because she hung around with the likes of Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp. It was enough to make any boyfriend jealous. Except, lately all their fights centered on his possessiveness.
Keira was independent. She was no damsel in distress and refused to be one. Yet, she could not get Rupert to understand that.
Do you not realize that in the end, it is you I come home to? It is you that I want to be with? Keira thought, pressing the heels of her hand into her eyes to stop the tears. Oh, I don’t even know anymore…
She felt the air change around her. Immediately she knew it was Orlando, and a few seconds later, she smelled his cologne. She felt the sand sift around her as Orlando settled down. Taking a deep breath, she looked up at him.
He was staring at the magazine that lay between them. Brushing the sand off the cover, he picked up the magazine and read the article.
Keira sighed, “I’m sorry about the other night. I don’t know what has gotten into Rupert, he is usually pleasant.”
Orlando chuckled, “It’s okay. He was just jealous.”
“That’s it! There is nothing to be jealous of!” Keira exploded. Orlando sensed she needed to rant and sat back in the sand watching her face.
“He doesn’t say it outright, but all these magazines do. I’m a terrible girlfriend or fiancee or whatever. I don’t spend enough time with him. I’m off cavoting with my other co-stars. I don’t pay attention to him. I don’t care enough about it. It’s all the same, and I’m getting sick of it.” Keira ranted, feeling enraged all of the sudden.
“I’ve seen this before, I know what’s coming. We aren’t meant to be. He can’t handle my career, which means that he can’t handle me. He is rude to my friends and expects me to be okay with that. He can’t support me because he hates what I do. Yet, I can’t leave him because I love him.” Tears started falling down her face. Orlando made a move to wipe them off but then changed his mind.
“I love him and that is why I put up with the sh*t that he puts me through. When he calls me at 3 in the morning, asking me when I’m coming home, how does he think that makes me feel when I tell him I won’t see him for another month. But at the same time, he won’t come around to visit me. He doesn’t love me enough to compromise.” Keira stopped, realizing something.
“He doesn’t love me enough…” Keira softly repeated, her mind suddenly blanking out.
”That’s not true.” Orlando jumped in, noticing her pause.
“Then why can’t he accept who I am?” Keira asked, clutching at the sand. She picked up a handful, and watched it sift through her fingers. “This is what I feel like is happening. No matter how hard I try to hold on to Rupert, he is slipping through my fingers. Am I not enough?”
“Stop.” Orlando commanded fiercely, grabbing her shoulders and stopping her rant. “Do not say that.”
Keira tensed, the remaining sand falling through her fingers. It was now her turn to be quiet. She stared into Orlando’s eyes, which were positively flashing.
”I don’t every want to hear you say that you are ‘not good enough’” Orlando mocked, lessening his hold on her. He slowly pulled her closer, cradling her instead. She moved closer to him, seeking his strength.
“You are an amazing woman Keira. You have accomplished in your short acting career what so many others have been striving for. And you have so much more to accomplish in the future. But take the spotlights away from you and who are you? You are Keira. You are a warm and caring person. You will stay up the entire night with your drunken friend just to make sure he doesn’t drown in his vomit.”
Keira chuckled, looking up at him. “You also needed someone to guide you to the toilet every time you had to puke.”
He grinned, continuing on, “Every person you’ve meet, you have touch his or her life with warmth. You are one of my best friends and I can tell you exactly why. Because in the end of the day, if I don’t get to talk to you once, my day feels incomplete. You have this power to make anyone feel loved, even in their lowest hour.”
Keira sniffed, feeling tears come into her eyes at his sweet words. “They why did Jamie leave me? Why does Rupert feel the way he does?”
Orlando wiped her tears, “Because they are intimidated that they weren’t and aren’t good enough for you. And I don’t think hat there ever will be any guy that will be worth it for you. But that does not mean that you have to change that you are. Don’t compromise your qualities just to make Rupert happy. If he can’t see that, then he is not worth it.”
Keira smiled, even though her tears were falling at a steady steady interval. “Thanks for making me cry.”
“I’m sorry,” Orlando half-smiled, before handing her his handkerchief.
“It’s quite alright. Every girl loves being told how amazing they are.” Keira tried to be cheeky but failed. “Orli, how is it that you understand me so well?”
“Because I know what you are going through. Don’t you think Kate and I went through the same thing? It was perhaps easier for us because we both were on the move, so time flew before we realized what we were doing.” Orlando said, squeezing her hand. He got up, dusting the sand off of his legs. “The cast is having a relax party tonight, you coming?”
Keira looked up at his hand, “Why don’t you go ahead, I’ll be there in a few.”
Orlando looked at her with concern, “You sure? I can wait for you.”
”Off course, now go and get pissed! That way you can get sober by midnight.” She said sticking her tongue out at him.
Orlando laughed, “Okay, see you in a bit!” And with that, he jogged off towards the apartments.
Keira smiled watching him go, and then sighed turning back to the sea. She looked at the magazine and then pulled out her phone.
Dialing a 14-digit number, she could picture the other person on the line. Walking across the living room to pick up the cordless.
“Hello?”
“Rupert? It’s me. We need to talk. I’m coming home this weekend for a bit.”

No Wonder Wickham and Elizabeth Didn’t Get Together
It’s a sign from Jane Austen, there is a reason why Wickham and Elizabeth didn’t end up together. They weren’t meant to be.
Keira Knightley and Rupert Friend have officially called it quits. Fighting rumors for the last couple months, they finally have parted ways. Keira flew in from shooting Pirates Of The Caribbean for a weekend where she and Rupert had a long talk.
“They are both broken up about it. But it is better that they ended the relationship now because they hurt each other anymore.” A source close to them said.
The exact reason for the breakup? Good question. Anything from distance, to not enough time, to Keira’s close relationship with fellow Brit Orlando Bloom, it is all fair game.
No comments have been made from Rupert or Keira. [/i]

“RUPERT! RUPERT!”
Rupert turned around, noticing a paparazzi with his camera. He sighed, knowing that this was eventually going to happen.
“I’m sorry to hear about you and Keira. Any words?” The paparazzi said, pulling out a notebook.
Rupert smiled, “Best of luck to her. She deserves only the best. Also, I hope that she finally opens up her eyes and sees what is in front of her.”
”What do you mean?” the paparazzi asked, confused.
”Disney movies are always right. The dashing pirate always gets the damsel in the end.” Rupert smiled, and walked way.
