Tears were no stangers to Keira. They visited her often lately, and when she saw him standing in her doorway, she knew they were about to visit her again.
She hadn't seen him in two months. Two long months, and she had missed him all the while. Sure there had been the occasional phone call, but it wasn't the same.
She let her blurred vision inspect him closely. His dark curly hair was in disarray; his chocolate brown eyes were searching her face, waiting for her reaction. Next to him sat a large black suitcase. Keira took this to mean he was staying, at least for a while.
"What're you doing here?" she whispered, attempting to swallow the tears that threatened to escape at any moment. "I thought you were coming home next week."
He smiled. "I wanted to surprise you. So... surprise?"
In answer, she picked herself up off the couch, ran to the door, and threw herself into his open arms.
She couldn't control the waterworks that were bursting inside of her, franticly trying to escape, any longer. "I missed you so much, Or," she sobbed into his shoulder, wrapping her arms around his neck, willing him with her body never to leave her ever again.
"I missed you too, Keir," he whispered, running his fingers through her shoulder length hair. "Two months. It was hard for me, too. Only one phone on the whole bloody island, limiting us to one phone call a week. I never want to go that long without you again."
Keira raised her head from it's comfortable resting place on his shoulder. "Me neither. I never wanna be without you for that long, I mean," she added hastily.
"One good thing about this though?"
"What's that?" Keira wondered, her hand tracing tiny circles on his arm.
"I realized," Orlando said, "just how much I need you, Keira."
She smiled. "Really, Mr. Bloom?"
He wiped away the remaining stray tears that were trickling down her cheek. "Really, Miss Knightley. I hear love does that to you."
Keira sighed as his lips lightly touched her forehead. "I don't deserve you," she informed him.
"Oh contrare!" Orlando exclaimed. " 'Tis I that does not deserve you!"
"Shakespeare much?" Keira laughed. Laughter had been rare in the past few months. But he was back now. She was finally whole.
