would it be better or less confusing if I used their real names? Doesn't matter, whatever floats your boat love. Loving it! It's great!! I especially love the little times when they cut it and stuff and you sorta follow them behind the screan as well as on it...but that's just me...My point is I LOOOOOOOVE IT!!! Great job! ;D

would it be better or less confusing if I used their real names? Why? People seem to love it regardless and majority rules. As for me. I am always very unreceptive of something new and then I get totally obsessed with it. Case in point, L J!

lol, just let me know if it gets too confusing.
“Many believe,” a old American man was narrating. “That those who don’t heed the warnings their reflection gives them lose their souls.” Keegan raised an eyebrow and looked at the old broken mirror they were showing. It looked fairly ordinary with a broken wooden frame. Only when it was shown in a protective glass case in some museum did she realize how tall it actually was. “So does this mirror possess the souls of all those who claimed it as their own, or is this just a myth? During this hour, we will begin to unfold the old stories of this mirror, examining uncanny evidence, inexplicable coincidences, and strange recurrences found in letters passed down through the generations…” It wasn’t something she would choose to watch on her own, but since it was on and had already grabbed her attention, Keegan got comfortable and listened to the strange stories until her eyes could stay open no longer. She struggled to stay awake, but lost the fight before the program had come to an end. “Keegan, run!” She was out of breath and her legs felt like rubber, but she did as Paige was yelling for her to do. She knew he was close behind her and there would be nothing she could do to save herself if he caught up to her. “Keegan, hurry!” Paige pleaded. “Hurry!”
“I can’t!” Keegan cried into the gray fog surrounding her. “I can’t run anymore…” She tried to look behind her at her assailant as her steps became slower and slower, but there was nothing but the sound of heavy footsteps close behind her. “Leave me alone,” she begged weakly. “You should have listened to me, “ said a deep voice as it echoed all around her. “I tried to warn you, but you didn’t listen to me. And now it’s all over, Keegan…Keegan…” She spun, trying to find the source of the voice, but it was just getting louder. She covered her ears and squeezed her eyes shut. “Leave me alone!”
“Keegan…Keegan!” She sat up with a gasp, wildly looking around. Paige was crouched down and staring at her, Shawn just behind her. Both of them had looks of concern on their faces. “Keeg, are you okay? You were having a dream or something.”
She was sweating and pushed her tangled hair from her face. All she could feel was the rapid pulse of her heart in her throat. Shawn went to a small refrigerator in the corner of the room and pulled out a water bottle. He unscrewed the cap and handed it to her. “Here, drink this.” She took it with a shaking hand and drank deeply. “Are you alright?” he asked softly. She looked first at Paige, then at Shawn. “I’m fine,” she managed after a moment. Forcing a smile, she now felt slightly embarrassed. “Just a bad dream is all. Just as you said.” They exchanged worried glances. “Really,” she tried to convince them. “I’m alright. How was your movie?”
“It was fine,” Paige answered casually. She still wore a frown as she sat on her own bed. “What the heck were you dreaming about?”
“Nothing…really. So what did you end up seeing?” “That new Adam Sandler movie. It was pretty good.”
Keegan chuckled softly. “Did it have the same four blokes in it as all his other movies?”
“Would it be a Sandler movie if it didn’t?”
“Well,” Shawn interrupted. “as long as you girls are set for the night, I’m going to head back to my room and try to study a bit before my chemistry exam tomorrow.”
Keegan bit her lip as Paige blinked. “Shawn! If I had known you had a test tomorrow we wouldn’t have gone out tonight!”
Shawn winked at Keegan before grinning at his girlfriend. “Yeah, I know.” He bent to kiss her lips. “Sleep well, baby.” Walking to the door he waved at Keegan before leaving. “Night.”
“Night.” When he was gone, Paige changed into an old shirt and boxers she had stolen from Shawn. “Your sister dropped by,” Keegan told her as she changed. Paige grimaced and climbed under her covers. “What did she want?”
“She never actually said what she wanted before she left.”
“I’m sure it was just a joy to see her.”
Keegan laughed. “As usual. Remember, we’re best friends.”
“Oh right. I forgot.” As was usual for their nightly routine, they made popcorn and talked about random things while a movie in the VCR supplied the soundtrack for the conversation. When both of them were tired enough, the lights would be turned off and they would lie in their beds and watch the movie until they fell asleep.

gracias, mi amigas
Though everyone around her rushed off to be on time for the next class, Keegan took her time putting her notes away. She was done for the day and all she had to look forward to was an empty dorm room, or eating lunch alone. Nothing was really sinking in for her today. Even when she had gone back to sleep when Paige had come home, that terrifying dream just came back to her, over and over. It got to the point when, at three in the morning she’d had enough. She was just going to stay awake. So she slipped on some sweat pants, grabbed a little bit of money, and went down to the first floor to watch TV in the common area. Thankfully, no one was there at that hour. The coffee machine ate her dollar bill and provided her with a tall cup of moderately hot chocolate. She made herself comfortable on the couch and clicked the television on, keeping the volume on the quiet side. Nothing was on but old shows from the 80’s and infomercials, but even they were a welcome distraction to that dark voice in her mind. Not long after she lost herself in how to use the “Ron Poppiele Rotisserie Machine”, the outside door buzzed and opened. She turned to see a boy with unruly blonde curls stagger up the stairs. When he saw her, he offered her a sheepish grin. “Late night,” he told her with his deep Australian accent. She nodded with an understanding smile and he waved before disappearing around the corner. She turned her attention back to the television, but the boy came around the corner again and looked at her with a wrinkled brow. “Aren’t you in my English lit class?” Keegan nodded slightly. “Yeah, you’re the girl that sits up front and never says anything.”
“And you’re the bloke who sits in back and never says anything because he’s asleep.”
This caused him to grin and he sat down beside her. “So she does have a voice. And she’s a Brit, too.” Expressionless, she kept her eyes trained on the TV screen. “Name’s Jack.” He extended a hand to her. Keegan eyed his hand, then his face before warily accepting his handshake. “Jack Helton. Now you can tell people you have the pleasure of knowing me.” She smiled with sarcasm. “And you would be…?”
She took a slow breath, trying to calm her annoyance with him. “Keegan Manning.”
Jack leaned closer to her, lowering the loudness of his voice. “Keegan is a very beautiful name.” His blue eyes suddenly found her untouched cup of hot chocolate on the table. “Ah, do you mind?” Before she could protest, he grabbed the cup and took a big gulp.
Only to spit it out. “CUT!”
Keira jumped and tried to move away from him. “What are you doing?!” she exclaimed. Heath scrunched his face up and let his tongue hang out. “Are you alright?”
“That’s hotter than hell!” Keira smiled, feeling a bit sympathetic. “I can’t feel my throat or my tongue!” She laughed. “Can we get some ice, please?”
“ICE!”
Heath pouted with a puppy dog face. “I expected it to be cold, warm if anything.” He put the cup down and they watched as the set was clean. “I’m going to need new clothes,” he informed everyone loudly. “Unless you want me looking like a Dalmatian.”
“Alright,” Gary called. “Take fifteen. Keira, love, you need to change too?” She shook her head. “Alright, yeah, fifteen, then we roll again.”
Before she could protest, he grabbed the cup and took a big gulp. “That’s not bad for school food.” He finished it off and set the empty cup back on the table. “Well, Keegan Manning, thanks for the drink. See you in class tomorrow.” He stood and pulled a dollar bill from his pocket, Tossing it at her like he was tipping a stripper, he grinned and left her alone. Now, Keegan saw his head down on his arms in the back of the room. She slung her bag over her shoulder, debating on whether or not she wanted to wake him up. She started to leave, but her conscious got the best of her. Biting her lip, she walked back to his desk. “Jack.” He didn’t moved, and she glanced around before poking his arm. “Hey, Jack.” He mumbled something and Keegan sighed. “Jack, class is over.” When he didn’t respond, she sighed and turned to leave again. Just as she reached the door, she heard, “What time is it?”
She stepped back into the room and glanced at her watch. “Five past eleven.”
Jack stood and stretched. “Great. Time for lunch.” He picked up his bag that hadn’t even been unpacked. “Do you have a class you’re late for?”
“No,” she mumbled. “I’m done for the day. See you Monday.” Again, she tried to escape, but he followed her out into the busy hallway, falling into step beside her. “Well wait. If you’re done and I’m skipping my next class, why don’t we got get something to eat in the dining hall?”
Keegan wove through passing students with expertise and Jack struggled to stay with her. “I usually eat alone in my room, thanks.” “Why?”
“Why what?” She pushed through the doors and walked into the warm sunshine. “Why do you eat alone in your room? If I remember correctly, you used to be quite the social butterfly.”
Keegan glanced over her shoulder at him as they raced to cross the street. “And how would you know about my social life?”
“Everyone knows about that fall of the queen.” She stopped once she reached the sidewalk, facing him. This made Jack smile, and he stood close to her. “I had a feeling that would make you stop.”
“What do you mean by that? “Come to lunch with me and I’ll tell you.”
“Forget it.” Keegan started walking again and Jack continued to follow her. “Why are you so insistent upon eating lunch with me? Did you make a bet with someone? Am I on some hidden camera show?”
People were starting to stare as they walked past them, and Jack actually seemed a bit embarrassed. “Calm down, calm down. I have a bet with no one, and if there’s a hidden camera show, then I’m on it as well.” She pursed her lips. “I just want to eat lunch with you. That’s all. And then you don’t have to ever talk to me again.” He held out his hand. “Deal?”
She sighed, squinting in the sunlight. After a moment, she relented and shook his hand. “Deal.” Fifteen minutes they sat together at a small circular table, both of them with a tray of food. Jack didn’t hesitate to eat the three slices of pizza that took up half of his tray, while Keegan was slow in eating her grilled chicken salad sandwich. “What’s wrong?” Jack asked between mouthfuls of food. “Don’t like your food?”
“No,” she casually. “It’s fine. I just like to taste what I eat rather than inhale it.” He grinned. “And I feel like everyone is watching me.”
Jack looked around. Students milled about, conversing and getting trays of food. “Who’s looking at you?” He tried to find a gaze that was turned toward them. “I don’t see them?”
“I don’t know who, exactly.” She took another bite of her sandwich. “It’s just how I feel.”
“Do you feel this way all the time?”
She eyed him. “Mostly.”
Jack raised an eyebrow at her and leaned over the table. “You’re a very strange girl, did you know that?” A small smile creased the sides of Keegan’s mouth and Jack grinned. “You’re not so ugly when you smile, you know.” Her jaw dropped, though she was obviously amused when she threw a piece of lettuce at him. “Keegan?” She looked around to see who might have called her name. Shawn came over and glanced at Jack. “Hey, surprised to see you here.”
“Yeah,” she chuckled. “Jack invited me and wouldn’t take no for an answer.”
Jack wiped his hand on the leg of his jeans, then extended it for a handshake. “Jack Helton.”
Shawn looked at his hand and then his face, not moving to return the warm gesture. “Yeah, I know who you are.” Looking back to his friend, he readjusted the bag on his shoulder. “You about done, Keeg? I wanted to talk to you for a few minutes.”
“Ah, yeah. Of course.” She tidied the items on her tray and gave Jack an apologetic smile. “Thanks for dragging me out here Jack. I’ll see you in class Monday.”
“No problem.” He looked up at Shawn with a big smile. “Glad to meet you, mate.” Shawn nodded casually. “Oh hey, Keegan? Can I borrow your notes from today?”
She laughed and shook her head. “Have a good weekend, Jack.”
He watched her leave, taking another bite of his pizza. “Yeah. You too.”
After Keegan threw her trash away and sent her tray off for cleaning, she and Shawn walked down the carpeted hall of the recreation building. “Why were you eating lunch with Jack Helton?”
She furrowed her brow, keeping her gaze on her footsteps. “Was that what you wanted to ask me?”
“He’s not a cool person, Keegan. I don’t think you should hang around him too much.” They stopped walking and Keegan crossed her arms, looking up at him. “He’s got a bad reputation and I don’t think it would be good for you to be caught up in that.”
“Well thank you for your concern, Shawn, but I’m old enough to take care of myself.” She started walking again. “Besides, Jack seems to be somewhat alright to me.”
“He’s anything but alright, Keegan, trust me.”
“Well how about trusting me?” Shawn opened the door for her, then followed her outside to the busy inner courtyard of the main campus. “I don’t have all that many friends, if you hadn’t noticed.”
“Exactly why you shouldn’t hang around him too much. People will start talking.”
“Oh, like they don’t talk now?” She scowled up at her friend. “I appreciate your concern, Shawn, I really do. But don’t presume that I will let you tell me who I may and may not be friends with. Have a good weekend.” Turning on her heel, she stalked away, leaving Shawn to sigh and go off to his next class. When she got to her dormitory she fumbled around in her bag to find her student ID. The barcode on the front of it was what would let her into the locked door. Frustration made her fingers find every little thing in her bag, save the small plastic card that would let her get to the security of her room. “Here, let me.” Keegan looked up upon hearing a soft voice holding the same accent her own did. Soft brown eyes framed by wire rimmed glasses locked with hers and she looked into a rugged face she had never seen before. “I have my card here, and I have to get in as well, so…” She still stared as he waved his card before the security box and the door buzzed. He smiled a little and reached for the door. But it was a little too late and it locked again. “Let’s try that again.” He waved his card once more, but again the door was locked. A third time threw the same predicament at them. Both of them laughed and stood, not knowing what to do.
“We can’t get in,” Orlando cried, laughter in his complaint. “Here, let me,” Heath grinned, saying Orlando’s line. His card also worked poorly. Mary-Kate came out of nowhere and laughed, repeating the line. When her card refused to open the door, laughter rippled throughout the set. Even Gary was chuckling. “Alright, cut. Let me see that card.” He took the ID from Orlando. “Go stand by the door and grab it as soon as it buzzes.” Orlando did as he was told as soon as the buzzer went off. “Good, someone get me some packaging tape.” Once that was retrieved, Gary taped the lock into the door, then let the door close. He opened it with ease, then let it slide shut. “There. We’ll just edit sound in later or something.”
“A true director,” Keira giggled. “Always thinking on his feet.”
Gary smiled and winked at her as he got back into his seat behind the camera. “Alright, clear the set.” Heath and Mary-Kate shuffled off. “Places…marker…and, ACTION!”

Good observation, lol. Yeah, I figured they weren't like that the entire time they were filming and no movie is ever shot in sequence, so there will be times when it's uncomfortable between them too.
“I have my card here, and I have to get in as well, so…” She still stared as he waved his card before the security box and the door buzzed. He smiled a little and reached for the door. “After you.”
“Ah…thanks.” With a strange nervousness, she walked past him and inside. She glanced over her shoulder and watched him follow inside and up the stairs. “Um, thanks again.”
“Quite welcome.” He looked at her oddly. “You’re not from America.” She shook her head. “London.”
“Manchester,” he told her with a smile. “Oh, ah, I’m Clay.”
“Keegan. I haven’t seen you around here before.” While they talked, Paige came down the hallway and went for her small mailbox. With a curious smile, she watched the two over her shoulder. “I could say the same for you,” Clay said slyly. Keegan brushed her hair behind her ears. “Yeah, I…I mean, I…” She was at a loss for words, and quite frustrated for it. “Oh, Keegan. I didn’t even see you there.” She turned to meet the smiling face of her roommate. “I was just checking my mail and suddenly you were behind me.” Tucking her mail under an arm, she stuck her hand out to Clay. “Hi, I’m Paige.”
“Clay, pleasure to meet you.”
“Well well, another one form the mother land.” She smiled. “You’re the new transfer, right?”
He nodded. “That I am. This is my third day actually.”
“Huh.” Paige looked him over. “Kind of strange to transfer in the middle of a semester, isn’t it?”
At this. Clay suddenly seemed uncomfortable. He pulled up his jacket sleeve and glance at his watch. “Oh, I’m terribly sorry, but I’m going to be late for my next class. I just came back to switch books and…” He shrugged. “Anyway, it was lovely to meet you both. Cheers.” The girls watched him walk down the hall and disappear around the corner. Paige raised an eyebrow and linked an arm with Keegan. “Who was that tall dark and handsome man?” she giggled. They headed to the staircase that would lead them to the third floor. “He’s quite mysterious.”
“Indeed.” Keegan walked slow. “I’ve never seen him before, have you?”
“No. I heard our building had the new transfer though. Figured it was him because of the accent. As far as I know, before him, you were the only Brit on campus.”
“Oh.”
Once in the room they shared, Paige flopped down on her bed. “How were classes this morning?”
“Fine…oh, Shawn and I had an interesting conversation a little while ago.”
She watched Keegan go about the room tidying up her half. “Why do I have a feeling it wasn’t the type of interesting that I would be like, ‘Oh, that’s really interesting’?” Keegan gave her a look and Paige rolled to her stomach with a sigh. “What happened?”
“I was eating lunch in the dining hall, and…” “Wait, you were in the dining hall?”
“Focus, Paige.”
“Right, sorry. Go ahead.”
Keegan sat down on the floor, sifting and sorting her laundry. “So I was eating with this bloke from my English Lit class, Jack Helton, and…” “Wait a sec.” Paige sat up. “You were eating lunch with Jack Helton? Keegan, do you have any idea who he is?”
“No, I don’t really. But he made me go to lunch with him.” She scowled at the distressed expression on her best friend’s face. “What’s the matter with him really? Other than the fact that he sleeps through his classes, and doesn’t slither into the dorm until early in the morning?”
“Trust me, Keeg, there are better people to start hanging around with than Jack Helton.”
“Like who, Haylie? You want I should be buddy buddy with your sister?”
“I didn’t say that.”
With a shake of her head, Keegan frowned. “All I hear from you and Shawn is that I need to make more friends. And when I finally do make a friend, or meet someone who has the potential to be one, you scold me for choosing the wrong person.”
“It’s not scolding,” Paige argued. “Keeg, for some reason your reputation isn’t the best around campus. Being seen with Jack will just make it worse.” She tried to meet her gaze, but Keegan was purposely avoiding her. “I just don’t want people to say more crap about you.”
“I don’t even care anymore.” Keegan stood up and threw her laden laundry bag on the bottom bunk. Her back was to Paige. “I don’t care what people think about me, what they say about me, or what they assume about me. I’m done with it all.” Silence crept into the room. When Keegan spoke next, it was almost inaudible. “Maybe I should just go back home.”
“No!” Paige jumped up and wrapped her arms around Keegan from behind. “Don’t say that, please. Keeg, you’re my best friend. I’d be lost without you.”
“You’d still have Shawn.”
“Yay, hang out with Shawn all the time. How fun would that be?” She let go and turned Keegan so she was facing her. “I’m serious. Don’t even joke about leaving. I’m sorry for yelling at you. I’m just trying to look out for you.”
“I know.” Keegan now returned the embrace. “Sometimes I just get frustrated. Besides, I’d never leave unless I could take you and Shawn with me.”
With a grin, Paige broke the embrace. “Don’t forget the sexy new transfer.”
“Oh, of course not!” Keegan exclaimed. “I’d make him my personal assistant. Carry my baggage, kiss my feet, all that wonderful stuff.”
Deciding laundry would be a good thing to do, Paige gathered her own. “Yeah, and do it all wearing only a loin cloth!”
“And not a stitch more!”
“I never understood why those things went out of fashion.” Paige opened the door so she could push her laundry basket out into the hall. As she did, a heavy set student waddled by with an ice cream in his hand. After he passed, Keegan fell on the bottom bunk in laughter. “Never mind,” Paige said between giggles. “I see now why they got rid of them.”
